These days, it seems to be raining everyday... Wonder why... The monsoon season has already passed, but its still raining... Today was kinda nice but theres always something to spoil the day. After all... nothing is perfect... haix. Today's spoiling was Montezuma's revenge. If you dont know what it is forget and don't check it out.
School started nicely. Had science in the morning. Ms Ismail is normally an extremely boring bio teacher, but today's science lesson was (to me) terrific. She's kinda like Mrs Dhillon, the P5 Social Studies teacher. At the start I don't like her, but slowly, I am accpeting her. Of course it's only the minority thats doing that. For Mrs Dhillon, it was Guo Feng who was accepting her. Now, its my good friend Sai who is aggreeing with me.
I think it's the topic. When I felt her lessons were boring, she was teaching Ecology. Now she is doing Biology. And i like the fancy Latin/Greek names given to Animals, Plants etc. For the Animal Kingdom, the scientific name is Kingdom Animalia. For the plants, its Kingdom Plantae. And I found out Spongebob is in the phylum in the Kingdom Animalia, Poifera. So Spongebob is in the Phylum Poifera! LOL.
And Mamals in the scientific term is Mamalia, Fish- Pisces, Amphibians- Amphibia and Birds-Aves. To me, thats so cool. All the fancy names and stuff.
And after Bio-Science had English (CCP) played the a real fun game called Shift. Its like you pick someone to be "it", then the "it" has to stand up. (You are all sitting on chairs in a circle). Then the person sitting beside it has to move to it's place. Then the person beside has to move and so on and so forth. It has to try to sit down. It okay if you don;t understand. Then came an activity where we had to sell a product. My groupie was given Downtown East (Escape Theme Park, Wild Wild Wet etc.) Then we came up with this dman LAME commercial. We won the audiences' heart because of the Lameness. If it were put on a Lame-o-metre, the machine will probably explode.
Then went for recess. Went to the library to try to find the lastest edition of PC-World but someone was probably reading it... Sigh...
Then had History. History today wasn't as bad as yesterday. Guess I like content lessons more than Workbook revising lessons. Learnt about the spread a Islam in Melaka (Malacca). It was damn interesting. Strangely, I find anything related to Islam interesting.
Then had Lit. Mr Seow went through on poetry. Read his poem with words that are hard to pronounce. Luckily i knew how to read rendezvous. But among those I didn't know were repartee and some others. Oh ya, i was reading out that poem alone to the class. So I know now that repartee is pronounced as reparta (rpr-t).
Then had lunch. Had the famous Victoria School Indian Rojak. Was there early, so didn't have to queue. Then Kundan said "What's so nice about it huh?" LOL, he doesn't apreciate his own cultural food. He's Indian himself!
Then went home with Sakib. Has been a long time since I went home with him. Talked about NPCC and Boy's Brigade, comparing each other. But he kinda talked more but it was interesting to learn more about another CCA.
God bless, take care
Jesus loves you and will take away that horrible Montezuma's revenge :)
