Time and tiime again while mindlessly commuting my life away (mostly because my eyes are far too tired to read) I gain insight to different situations in our daily lives. It's interesting to see how all of us live in this rat race country- to be rushing from one place to another always complaining of the lack of time yet sometimes trading time for comfort.
That referred to me by the way.
I take the train towards Marina Bay from City Hall and take it back because I want a seat. Sometimes I don't understand why certain people in our hoi polloi think that it is wrong for students not to give up their seats when there is a needy person. Especially students clad in uniforms. Shouldn't us students deserve as much status as everyone else? Are we suppose to be the first in line for seat transplant?
I mean sure, this doesn't mean that I don't enjoy giving my seat up to nice grannies and grandpas but what I abhor is the attitude that our clackers have towards us students that at the very moment a needy person walks into the train, I and only I have to give up my seat.
I left my key at home thus didn't have the time to run today. Sad.

Faitfulness in Unfaithfulness

Would have been feeling really suffocated had it not been God's glory in my life for the past 2 days. Hectic schedules and personal endeavors had a lot to do with that.
Despite my neglect for God he has still proved faithful, in different ways, dropping little blessings as I live my life. God truly is an awesome God.
For one, every-time this week I had to take a train/bus, the train/bus came in about 1 minute or less upon my reaching there. For two, for some reason I brought my Emaths 3B last Thursday by accident, I then chugged it in my locker cursing myself for carrying extra weight. On Friday I forgot all about it and Zuraimi told us to bring it along on Monday. And on Monday when I flustered realizing I did't bring my 3B, I realised I already had it in the locker.
My iPod died on me on my run yesterday. Horrific experience. Music is the epitome of running. It's what keeps me continuously jogging through those torturous miles. Okay that's too exaggerated (never seem to be able to spell that word).
So I shall make sure I charge it every time I run from now on.

I am now doing completely useless things on the internet when I can be productive and finish my homework. *knocks own head*
Yes okay I shall make my entry on BFS my last internet activity before mugging my life away on Amaths and Emaths because I really don't want another ugly C5 on my report card like last year.
Plus I still have tonnes of worksheets and exercises and zuoyes and assignments to accomplish, sigh, the epitome of school life is such.
I enjoyed my weekend very much =) Saturday morning was spent on Ikea to find my new bed! Shabalabadingdong! I now have an Ikean Sultan mattress to sleep on and a nice *inserts Ikean designer's name* bed =)
It isn't extremely extremely comfortable but fair enough for a hoi polloi like me. I felt kinda awkward when choosing the beds cuz I was sleeping on every single one of the showroom beds and people were doing the same. So somehow when I laid on my side and they did too we were facing each other. [somewhat] Gross.
Ikea's Swedish Meatballs a once slice of heaven creation has now been plutoed =( I didn't enjoy it at all.
I then chionged down to the quite-old Safra Tampines to bowl with edgers! My total score was 24! Hahahaha. Yaya, I suck. WHATEVER.
And after which we trouped down to Tampines building for the AG rally with an Anti-Obed Edomic preacher.
Yeah. Was a great sat. Manage to rest and escape from ugly routinity and hecticness of school life. Glory to God for sats =)

It's Friday.
I'm like a fish out of the water for "too long". And Friday is the Samaritan who throws me back in the pond.
Friday is when life starts.
Friday is like Little Mermaid getting legs.
Friday is hope.
And yes. It's Friday.
I have so much plans for this long awaited weekend! And yet, so little time. My butt is currently itching to get to BooksActually- the much hyped about bookstore at Telok Ayer. I need to get to Ikea to buy my new bed. I need to go to Borders to use my Christmas promotion ten bucks free voucher before January ends. I need to use that hard-to-get 40% off coupon that Borders had once again sent (hope in the form of EC muaha).
It's when school starts and you realized how wrongly you spent your holidays.
-not running enough
-not exploring enough
-not hanging out enough
-not eating nice stuff enough
I am now making it a deal to run everyday if I can. I am now waiting for my stomach to digest its food before jogging through the suburban roads of Admiralty. Yesterday was a great experience. I am now in love with running.
And I miss the art life I used to indulge in. Chionging SAM, Biennale, Sculpture Square. I already missed NAS Opening Fest and am quite sad about it. It's only when you think back in time until you realized how screwed you were with time management. Procrastination is my biggest folly.
I am now hoping I don't procrastinate Singapore Fringe. It's nearing soon. Arg.

Irritating blogger just invited me to the new version. The new version came out ages ago and it's just today that I can chiong and transplant. Sickening.
I have been using Blogger since 2004. That's 3 years already. Of course it has been spread out on several users since I was young, immature and infantile in the Primary Six days and changed blog every 2 days (bleargh). Oh wells, BFS is approaching year NUMBER 2!
I have been on a mass kope scheme these days reserving "growingaffectionatelygreen.blogspot.com" and "bigfatsmiles@hotmail.com" although I neither need them nor use them. Call me pathetic, irritating or what lah. But I'm sure nobody will use these URLs. Sorry to whoever wants these muhahaha.
So here are my thoughts on the NEW Blogger =)
Love the "labeling" function though it should have come up ages ago as had Typepad and Wordpress did. Now I have no idea whether I should label all my 300+ entries over the last one and a half year.
They change some Blogger-only HTML codes, so if you used old-blogger HTML codes you will not be able to edit them with some of their new features including Page Elements and stuff. So you might have to relearn the ways some codes are written and stuff.
Page Elements is pretty sucky. I tried it and they can really use some improvement like being able to set more columns, more add ons and stuff like that for HTML noobs.
Censorship of blogders is pretty cool although Wordpress and Typepad came up with that long ago. Nice to see it come to Blogger though. The goodbye instant publishing thing rocks- probably my favorite part of new Blogger, and the dashboard is of course more helpful now.
Not much of a giant leap, doesn't knock your socks off but it does make blogging easier =)

generation procrastination

I am currently rotting away on a Friday evening while it's been raining chickens the whole friggin' day. I really should start on my Chinese Holiday homework since I have to hand it in to the cheena but nevertheless fun CAOLAOSHI by 11.59pm today. Blah, I am a backslid-den Chinese advocate. And an avid veteran procrastinator.
I mean like procrastinating is the theme song for our generation man. Chem homework? I'll leave it till tomorrow, yea? Bio makeup today? Can we postpone tomorrow? A Maths killer worksheets? I'll leave that to Saturday morning. Yea, more like MONDAY MORNING, BEFORE school actually starts.
So right now on my "left behind" (haha) list is *drumroll*
1) Freaky English commentary on seen-too-many-times movie The Way Home from adewise.
2) Holiday homework (3 month procrastinated) creative book review for boring cheena book from CAOLAOSHI.
3) AMATHS adrenaline rush exercise from ever-hyped Zuraimi
4) incredulously crappy chinese composition on curfews for teens *blearghhh* again from CAOLAOSHI.
THATS ALL (so said Miranda Priestly). Kinda little actually considering most of these have a post-Monday dateline. All accept one that's due tonight.
Sigh. I really should start now. I really should.
*wonders off and skips rope*
POSTNOTE SHABALABA!
Please note that your character encoding for BigFatSmiles.BlogSpot.Com should be UTF-8. If so you will view all characters beautifully. Guess I won't need to teach all of you out there since you guys are all friggin TECH GENIUSES rawr.

Yes yes, I am back from my hiatus hopefully to the delight of my immensely peachy readers. I have tonnes of content screaming to be posted hear but I would seem quite backdated a-huh.
2nd Jan was quite fantastic- tried the toffeenut latte at Starbucks early in the morning with the Bryan Lim (now got 2 bryans in my life already hor!) much to my disappointment. EC chided that I should have added 2 shots of espresso- mine was the single shot one =( leading to an extremely sweet and coffee-less cuppa. Bryan is going to NJ and has been quite a pivotal role in my vie victorian. It seems quite sad that I will be no longer bumping into him as I stroll down the halls of our ecopondical school.
(ecopondical is an original BFSGiberrishâ„¢ word which expresses the much hyped eco-pond issue on Victoria School a few years ago)
Oh wells, we all have to move on in life so says all the preteen hyped graduation songs by S Club and Vitamin C.
And then after the morning cuppa with Bryan I zooped down to Bras Basah to stationery shop! I spent 32 dollars on uni-ball pens and ZIP markers. Call me crazy.
Which then brought me to Tampines where I splurged on Mocha frap with Wendy and IZ scolding myself as I did it. Yep, bout 12 bucks donated to Starbucks in a single day. Nothing much for a income-less 14 year old puny punk yea?
I broke my iPod earphones today. Which is quite sad since I have quite a lot of affection for it considering the fact that it spent 1 year and 4 months interacting in my gross and dirty ear. (haha BFS horror) I am now highly anticipating the nascent 6G iPod which hopefully shall come out at MacWorld 2007.
That's not really a good excuse to get a new iPod though. Shabalabdingdong.
So yep. I will definitely come out with some nice name for my new iPod. My old one was Big Fat Smiles (Boring!) and even my MacBook is Big Fat Smiles. So pathetic.
At leasy my Motorola V3i has a nicer name. *shuts up*
The nicest name of cuz is- *you all should know* haha.a

New Years Day 2007!
Watch-night was really great last night-this morning. Pretty fun- especially to experience hyped iPod contenders ahem. Sembawang was packed man. Like 2000 people crammed all in one building. Pretty amazing though this the number dunno wad time we did it already.
So us regayouths together with the rest of the edgers trouped down to Yishun for the movie marathon affectionately titled Movie Mania after watch-night! Was quite fun since I don't usually watch movies thus I didn't watch most of the movies they were playing.
So I dedicated my first 2 hours at 1am in the ashes of the day to planet earth's favorite scientology Tom Cruise by watching the too-hyped over but never BFS-patronised Mission Impossible 3!
I was never a MI fan. The only things I knew about MI was Tom Cruise, gadgets and the funky music. The story-line was pretty weak though, revelations were revealed super quickly so I couldn't catch why some things happened. But all in all, the action, suspense and peanut butter air managed to keep me awake to the next movie.
My second movie was PRADA! OMG Anne Hathaway = gaga BFS haha. By the time MI3 ended Prada already had so I etched myself in when she bugged Nigel to get clothes for her from the big room aka heaven to all the clackers. Sorry forgot some of the Prada termilogies haha.
I didn't watch a third movie but stupidly went to play scrabble with Esther, Jeremy and Daphne. I lost. Obviously. But that drained all my energy of. It was like 6 am then already and I haven't slept for 21 hours.
Then dragged myself out of the losing game with regayouths to MacDonalds for breakfast!
I can't believe people can drink coffee when they wanna go home to sleep. Everyone was drinking coffee la wth. Some coffee shots to begin with...
Bryan.
Jaime.
And my beloved Hot Cakes breakfast!
I told the staff there that they should be really proud that my first breakfast in 2007 was in MacDonalds. Haha.
Reached home at 7.30 am and hit the bed until 2.30 pm. And then went out at 5.10 to join my parents for a New Years Dinner at Orchard!
Hard Rock Cafe
My BBQ Chicken.
Pictures speak a thousand words. I'm far to tired now. Bye people.
