A social commentary.

Another Entry =)

Blogger doesn’t seem to be working. Whenever I go to “blogger.com” for mozilla it just loads and loads until the cows come home, for IE it loads until the title is “cannot find server”. Right now, I am using “Blogger for Word” which is the Blogger Add-on for you to type your entry (for everyone’s information, 帖子 when I posted the part-chinese entry means “entry” itself.) on the word processor- Microsoft Word. I hope it manages to publish, if it doesn’t then I’ll just wait untill Blogger works again. So to you guys reading this, this entry was orignally written at 5.30.

The above paragraph seems pretty boring. My article with Victoriana seems pretty boring too- but the UNEDITED version (which is what I ORIGNALLY wrote) is NOT boring. I guess the editor (aka Mark Thompson) had to conserve space and thus deleted the funny parts =(

I have an important issue to address. I didn’t know how serious this issue was until I read IN (For people who think thinking is In) this morning and read one of the articles about a few JC students being expelled from their JC because defamation or something related to their school. I never knew this happened until recently (aka rather lately- today). I think this is a very horrible thing to do (the expelling). I mean blogging is really part of a student’s private life. Blogging is equivalent to eating, shitting, peeing, drinking, surfing the net blah blah blah.

So the school has the right to govern a student’s private life? So if the student has a fetish for surfing porn (outside school hours) the school must suspend or expel him? No! The school can counsel, the school can encourage, the school can do something BENEFICIAL but the school doesn’t expel! In fact nothing the school does must be a form of punishment! It is really something the students do let let out their stress and express their feelings. After all, a blog is largely personal. Even more, I think the government should have NO rights to controlling what we blog about.

Although I do oppose against defamation, and racism, and whatever said that is hurtful blogged- I do oppose to the government stopping us and placing punishments and all this crap. A blog is a place to express freely. Not a place to be scared of what you’re typing about blah blah blah.

I still thank God that Victoria hasn’t had any expellations blah blah blah but as for defamotories of teachers I think they do exist. In fact I think they do exist in every school. After all, every school has those teachers who are so crappy that the students have to defame them. Meanwhile, I am still quite lucky. Through my 7 years of schooling life, I have had good rapport with my teachers =)

Diverting a little here. You guys will NEVER see another entry with Chinese content on Big fat Smiles ever again unless it’s just a few words etc. I can’t stand the ridicule! Hahaha…

NOTE: Please note that my above entry states my opposing to any form of punishments faced by bloggers should they post anything bad on the web. Despite this statement, I do not agree with bloggers posting anything bad (racism, defamotory, “flamming” etc.) My view is that the government should take a different approach like counselling etc.
