English only readers, sorry, I shall translate what is above there =)
Today is Children's Day! Also my first entry in Big Fat Smiles with Chinese content in it, so please help, should you see any wrong words please report them to me =) Thanks. Akthough this entry will not be completely Chinese (which is utterly impossible) I shall at least have one paragraph dedicated to Chinese- which is the one you are reading now. Haha. Actually I just downloaded a new file- the Chinese (Simplified) Pinyin IME 3.0. After my computer was crashed and reformatted, this file was lost and I could not type Chinese characters in any Microsoft Office programs. Now I can though! But I realised I can't use the Chinese Simplified blah blah on mozilla firefox, I am now using Internet Explorer to type the entry. Okay! I can't take it anymore! Sounds super cliche right? The paragraph above? Which is also why when you read China-made products, the words at the back or whatever always sounds too formal or whatever shit. I think it's just the way English sounds like when it's translated from Chinese.
Back to the main point of today's entry : 儿童节 which means Children's Day in English. Sigh. I'm 13 now and can no longer have this liberty of celebrating Children's Day. Sure sure, we have a youth day blah blah blah- but don't "Children" have them too? After all, they are, too, youths. Sure sure, Secondary school life is like a million times better than primary school life, but I still feel that damned earning of celebrating children's day. Watching Children's Day cartoons on Channel 8 and all that crap.
I still remember my last Children's Day. Not very unique whatsoever but still memorable. I spent it at Guofeng's house playing RuneScape. He helped me blah blah blah. That was what happened on Childrens Day itself. But something more memorable happened on the EVE. To read the original entry (which will teleport you to my compilation of my old blogs- My Recollections) click here. It's the first entry of this September Archives page.
Don't wish to have a spoiler on BFS, so go there yourself and check it out. I edited it already, so it's not like the other My Recollection entries that have terrible sms language spelling, horrible grammar and disgusting IM language (not that IM language is disgusting but it is if you conbine it with the word BLOG). So rest your mind at ease and yup, teleport yourself.
Don't expect to see a special entry on Children's Day (the event) ON Children's Day (the day itself) in the years to come because I would have got over not being able to celebrate it BY THEN.
Cheers to Children out there! Kudos to Children's Day!
